Our researchers work on novel target-based drug discovery projects in the areas of autoimmunity, inflammation and metabolic syndrome.

TRL builds a pipeline of proprietary drug leads by screening small molecule compound libraries in enzyme-, receptor- and cell-based assays to identify novel chemical lead compounds with potential for chemical optimization. Structure-activity relationship analysis of data from target-based biochemical, mechanism-based cellular and in vivo efficacy assays enables the optimization of promising candidates for pre-clinical development.

TRL’s discovery research strategy is based on a target-family approach. This strategy leverages common discovery platforms and make possible a rapid implementation of new projects. This approach has allowed recent projects to go from target selection to the identification of several lead candidates more efficiently.
